No one talks about the invisible pressure to prove No one talks about the invisible pressure to prove that you made the right decision by moving abroad — taking that plunge to start all over again, packing your life into two 23kg checked-in luggage bags…
Your entire work experience reduced to a piece of paper in a place where no one knows you — or the top university you went to in your country.
Trying to learn and unlearn so many cultural norms all at once!

Amid all these struggles, one thing that can truly drain your energy is people’s false assumptions or unsolicited opinions — especially from those who don’t pay your bills!
So never let it get to you. Your energy is valuable — save it for yourself and for the real challenges coming your way.

Its almost 10.5 years since i lost my Ami jan but Its almost 10.5 years since i lost my Ami jan but the most i miss her is when i think that what would she say if she witnessed me in this season of motherhood! How much my kids would have to learn from her ? Mother’s day has never been easier after we lost her but Allah has blessed me with these 2 miracle boys ! Alhamdulillah! Happy mother’s day to all those who are still healing from loss and continuing to show up everyday
I condemn the loss of all innocent lives in the Pa I condemn the loss of all innocent lives in the Pahalgam attack. I condemn the loss of human lives in any conflict between countries. I also condemn the strikes on civilians in Pakistan - so stop@glorifying it!
Just a reminder that war is nothing to be celebrated! May the peace prevails Ameen. caption credit @comradehusnain
I love taking pictures to be able to peek back int I love taking pictures to be able to peek back into moments that have already become yesterday. As a mother, I want to capture these precious times and turn them into the magic dust of memories.

Thank you, @nataliyakhan, for capturing these so beautifully. The best part was that she simply asked me to play the way we usually do — and the result was amazing! She truly has an eye for detail. @nataliyakhanphotography

I cried my heart out today in the middle of making I cried my heart out today in the middle of making parathas… can you believe it? You can’t exactly schedule a crying session, can you? Because every time I plan one, by the time I actually have a moment, I’m too exhausted to shed any tears—so I just crash and sleep right through it.

Today, it was just another scene from an episode of Parenthood… Max, a child on the spectrum, is having a bug-themed birthday party. The guy, Andy, who’s supposed to do the bug show, is very particular about routines and timing. After an initial planning meeting and hearing from other parents that Andy also has Asperger’s, Max’s parents begin to second-guess their decision. What if something goes wrong and Andy gets upset? A house full of kids on the spectrum and a potentially upset performer doesn’t seem like a good mix.

But then comes the real dilemma: what if Max grows up and no one gives him a job just because he’s autistic? That back-and-forth between fear and hope… the realization that they hadn’t even recognized Andy was on the spectrum because they’d only interacted with kids with Asperger’s, not adults. The fear. The empathy. The doubts about the future.

Suddenly, I cried—and I cried for a good 10 minutes while Ayaan sang Hickory Dickory Dock on repeat in the background. I felt heard. I felt seen. I felt like I’m not alone.

One thing being an autism parent has taught me is this: random strangers, people who have never even spoken to you, can suddenly make you feel the happiest—or make you cry your lungs out—just because they’re walking the same path. You see what others can’t. You see a version of yourself—past or future. You see YOU! If you are an autism parent sending alot of duas your way ! #AutismParent #ParenthoodMoments #SpecialNeedsParenting #SeenAndHeard #AutismAwareness #Neurodiversity #RealTalk #autismparent #autismstruggles
