چاول کی روٹی Rice flour bread
I never knew it existed until I got married. It was a daily routine breakfast thing in my susraal. My mother in law would make big چاول کی روٹی
That family would eat with chai.
I found out it was my husband’s fav food from his childhood and every time my Mother in law would make on weekend I would stand by her side and get inspired how she spreads the batter on a hot pan with her finger and so perfectly.

So I decided to learn from her and make this in routine specially in winter and is my kids fav too!

Here is the recipe for 4 to 5 average size rotis
2 cups rice flour
1 cup wheat flour
1.5 tsp salt
Water as required to make the consistency like a pancake batter
Oil as per requirement as you need to pour oil as it cooks

Mix flours and salt and add water and let it sit for 15 minutes
Make the tawa /pan hot and add a tsp of oil
Pour batter on tawa when hot and spread slowly with spoon so that it’s thickness is balanced

Add oil on the side and let it cook for 2 to 3 mins on a medium heat

Now flip it be careful flipping can break as one side is still not cooked … so use the tools you need

Now add oil again on the sides and let it cook

Keep pressing from above to make sure the batter from inside is also cooked.

When you see it golden brown and no raw batter you see when you press with the turner

Then it’s cooked enjoy with hot chai and enjoy !
